Electronic Evidence Portal

The Court has implemented a portal for the submission of electronic evidence in selected courtrooms. The participating courtrooms are listed below.

Civil Unlimited (Departments C15, C16, C24, C25, and C27) PILOT PROGRAM

Selected Civil Unlimited departments listed below are participating in a pilot program to submit evidence electronically through the “portal” for use during court and jury trials. Counsel will be required to upload exhibits to Portal in lieu of trial exhibits notebooks, except for one copy of the notebook.  Please consult the Civil Unlimited - Electronic Evidence Protocol for details and requirements applicable to all pilot courtrooms, as well as the General Policies and Procedures applicable to each individual courtroom, which are available at Civil Calendar | Superior Court of California | County of Orange.

Counsel shall review the “Electronic Evidence Order and Stipulation” available via the link below and file the signed stipulation by noon the Wednesday before trial. Plaintiff is ordered to serve a copy of this order and stipulation on all parties.

Small Claims

Small Claims matters set in C18 require that all evidence be submitted electronically through the “portal” rather than presented in a paper format. Click on the link for Departments C18 below for instructions.

The court recommends parties download their electronic evidence as the court will not retain after the case has concluded.

Probate

Probate matters set in CM03, CM05, CM06 or CM08 may require that evidence be submitted electronically through the “portal”. Click on the link for Departments CM05 and CM08 below for instructions.

Civil Harassment, Unlawful Detainers, and Administrative Appeal

Civil Harassment, Unlawful Detainers, and Administrative Appeal matters set in C65, C61, C64, and C66 may require that evidence be submitted electronically through the “portal”. Family Law

Commencing on January 1, 2025, the Electronic Evidence Portal shall be used in lieu of trial exhibit notebooks. All exhibits – including impeachment and rebuttal evidence – to be used at trial or other specially set evidentiary hearings, shall be uploaded to the Electronic Evidence Portal accessible in the Orange County Superior Court website. Note: Until further notice, Judge Pham in Department L11 is opting for parties to bring hard copies of exhibits to hearings rather than upload documents to the Electronic Evidence Portal.
