Election-Related Emergencies:

The court and clerk’s office are open on Election Day during normal court hours between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Persons needing urgent after-hours election-related relief should first contact the Voters Hotline for their county’s Registrar of Voters. Contact information for
each county’s Registrar of Voters can be found here:  County Elections Offices: California Secretary of State

The Voter Bill of Rights is available on the Secretary of State’s webpage at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voter-bill-rights/.

Click on the link below to view information about a particular case or find out about a hearing date. You will not be able to look up information about certain cases that are confidential, including cases involving adoptions, mental health issues and custody petitions for parents who have not married.

The date in which cases became available online varies. If you do not find the case you are looking for, it may only be available in hardcopy at the court where the case was filed. You may also not find the case because the period of time in which the court must keep the case has expired. To find out how long cases are kept, read File Retention Time Frames (L-1018).
