EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE ORDERS
Basic Information:
If you fear immediate and present danger of domestic violence, child abuse, child abduction, stalking, elder abuse or dependent adult abuse and need protection – at any time of the day or night, including weekends and holidays – call the police department or call 911. Ask the law enforcement agency that responds to your call for an Emergency Protective Restraining Order.
Emergency Protective Restraining Orders
are short term. To get a restraining order that lasts longer, come to a courthouse. Alternatively, call the Domestic Violence Hotline:
