The Orange County Community Court was named a Mentor Court by the Center for Court Innovation on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance.
This Federal Justice Department program will provide financial and technical assistance to implement or enhance community courts, provide financial and technical assistance for an impact evaluation of an established community court and recognize and provide technical assistance to mentor community courts. The ultimate goal is to encourage the successful replication of the community court model and the application of community court principles to wider populations. Read More Here

Effective 11/26/18, Probate/Mental Health will offer the ability to reserve a motion date online. This increased access will allow hearing dates to be reserved and moving papers must be efiled within 24 hours of the reservation. Santa Ana, Calif. – Hon. Kirk Nakamura was elected Presiding Judge, and Hon. Erick L. Larsh Assistant Presiding Judge in an uncontested election for the two top posts of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange. Santa Ana, CA – Small claims cases submitted to the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, can now be resolved online via the Small Claims Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) system, a new pilot program launched recently. This pilot program is believed to be one of the first in California and was created by the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, which serves as the Small Claims Advisor to the Court. Read more HERE.

The Court’s Multi-Year Financial Plan (MY Plan) through Fiscal Year 2017-18 is now available. Please click Here. .
The Court remains focused on providing the highest quality of justice and court services to the community.

MY Plan was originally developed in 2012 to cover long-term planning for Fiscal Years 2012-13 through 2016-17. MY Plan has proved to be an invaluable tool for the Court to evaluate and prioritize resources, while ensuring alignment with funding. By extending the expired plan, the Court continues its compliance with the California Rule of Court 10.603(c)(9) and the Trial Court Financial Policies and Procedure (FIN).

Payments for criminal, traffic, and collection cases can be made at the Court’s Mission Viejo facility, 27573 Puerta Real, Mission Viejo, 92691. Starting Feb. 6, 2017, the public windows will be open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the windows are closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
