Self Help Center
Lamoreaux Justice Center


 

The Self-Help Center (SHC) is located on the first floor of the Lamoreaux Justice Center, Superior Court of California, County of Orange, 341 The City Drive, Orange, California. The SHC provides forms, information, brochures, how-to-packets, and referral resources in English and Spanish on several family law, juvenile, probate and mental health matters. Forms are available in the SHC, on the court's website (www.occourts.org) or in a fillable format on the I-CAN! kiosks. The public can use the I-CAN! kiosks to complete forms before filing them with the clerk’s office. The public can also use one of the SHC computers to run child support calculations. An additional court forms computer is also available to print single forms as needed.

The staff in the Self-Help Center consists of attorneys, paralegals and court clerical staff. Services provided include assistance with forms selection and completion, review of forms for compliance with court rules and procedures. Workshops for assistance with starting a divorce, starting a paternity action, responding to a domestic violence action, or preparation of an order to show cause for various family law issues such as custody and visitation, are also offered on a scheduled basis several days a week.

The Self-Help Center is open Monday through Friday; except for holidays. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the telephone number is (714) 935-7623.
